Quality

Quality in parts supply is mostly a documentation discipline. The controls below describe what happens between a request and a shipment.

Qualification of sources

Every source is qualified before it is used, and re-checked while it is used. Qualification covers the approval the source holds, the scope of that approval, and the traceability documentation it can provide.

Verification of approval status

Approval status is verified against the issuing authority's published records rather than accepted from a certificate image or a statement. Where a part number cannot be verified, it is not offered for installation.

Release and traceability

Shipments are released with the airworthiness documentation applicable to the article, together with traceability documentation for the source.

  • Airworthiness release documents in the applicable jurisdiction
  • Traceability records linking the article to its source
  • Certificate requirements stated in the request are addressed in the quotation

Suspected unapproved parts

Where a part is suspected of being unapproved or counterfeit, it is quarantined and not supplied, and the matter is handled with the relevant authority. Suspected unapproved parts programmes exist precisely because this risk is real and managing it is a shared responsibility.

What we will not do

We do not describe a part as approved when the approval cannot be identified. We do not present a partner capability as our own. We do not state a lead time we cannot hold.
