Non-PMA parts and their limits
Not every item we supply is a PMA part, and pretending otherwise would be both wrong and dangerous. This page exists to draw the line clearly.
What we supply in this category
Standard parts
Bolts, nuts, washers and similar items produced to published standards. Not PMA articles.
Tooling and ground equipment
Not installed on the aircraft, therefore not airworthiness articles.
Shop consumables
Materials used in maintenance, subject to the operator's own procedures.
Parts awaiting approval
Where an approval is in progress, the item is not offered for installation until it is held.
Questions we are asked about this category
Can a non-PMA part be installed as a replacement for an OEM part?
Not on the basis of being a non-PMA part. Installation of a replacement article requires an approval covering that installation — a PMA, or another approval route. A part being "equivalent" is not itself an approval.
Do you supply parts without an approval?
Only where the item does not require one — standard parts and tooling, for example. Where an item requires an approval and one is not held, we will not offer it for installation.

Send the part number and quantity. If an approved alternative exists across the network, we will tell you who holds the approval and what document comes with it.
